Defining Goals

How to define goals and track performance against them.

Goals are high level targets you input manually into Jirav.
Plans are model based, built from the bottom-up and are more accurate than goals.

In this example, we'll set revenue goals based on the marketing funnel with the following dates:

Lite Users:

  • Set goals for 2018 in January
  • Goals vs. Actuals variance report in March 2018

Pro Users

  • Set goals for 2018 in January
  • Create plan for 2018 in January
  • Goals vs. Plan, tracked in January 2018
  • Goals/Plan vs. Actuals variance report in March

Create goals

Setup > Goals

Access Setup in far right of the app underneath your company name.

Create custom goals that match your business

Name your goals and map them to a line in your model

Protip: Goals can be mapped to any line in the model, including custom lines from a Google Sheet.

Example: Marketing Goals

In this example, we're assuming advertising spend will drive website traffic, which will convert to qualifies leads and result in new business.

Track goal performance

Report: compare last year actuals to goals

Report > Goals > Actuals data set compared to Goals
