Overview: Customize & Share a Dashboard

Create & share a visual representation of your financial KPI's & Metics with other users

Now that you've created your base Jirav model, it's time to show it off using a Dashboard. Dashboards allow you to share your key performance indicators for both actuals and plan in an easy to digest, graphical format.

There may already be a default Dashboard available in your Jirav model.  In this step you will customize a new Dashboard to display an example of each Tile type and then share the Dashboard with other users. 

 

Create your Dashboard

To create your Dashboard, go to Dashboards> Select the ∨ next to the currently selected Dashboard to open the context menu and Select Manage Dashboards.

Once you have accessed the Manage Dashboards window, select + Add New Dashboard and name it Summary.

 

Add Tiles to the Dashboard

The Dashboard enables you to visually tell the story of your financial data using different types charts and tables, collectively called Tiles. In this example, we will add each type of Tile.

To add a Tile, verify you are viewing the Summary Dashboard and select ... from the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Detailed steps for each example Tile can be found below. 

 

Revenue BvA Column Chart Tile

From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Tile and Modify the Settings as follows and Save. 

Utilize the COMPARED TO field for budget vs actuals analysis. 

     

    OpEx by Department Column Chart Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Tile and Modify the Settings as follows and Save. 

    Utilize the DISPLAY Children and GROUP BY Department fields to breakdown operating expenses by department.

     

    Revenue by Account Column Chart Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Tile and Modify the Settings as follows and Save. 

    Utilize the DISPLAY Children and GROUP BY Account to breakdown revenue by sub-account. 

     

    Salary Run Rate Bar Chart Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Tile and Modify the Settings as follows and Save. 

    Adjust PERIODICITY & FIRST PERIOD OF RANGE to annualize by quarter. 

     

    Cash on Hand Numerical Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Tile and Modify the Settings as follows and Save. 

     

    OpEx - BVA Table Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Tile and Modify the Settings as follows and Save. 

    Adjust VARIANCES AS settings to show the variance analysis as desired. 

     

    Income Statement Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Income Statement Tile.

    This tile will automatically generate a view of your Income Statement. Hover in the top right-hand corner of the Tile to Edit the Tile to add the Cash trend.

     

    Balance Sheet Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Balance Sheet Tile.

    This tile will automatically generate a view of your Income Statement. Hover in the top right-hand corner of the Tile to Edit the Tile to add the Cash trend.

     

    Text Tile

    From the Dashboard Context menu (...), select + Add New Text Tile.

    Customize your tile to include your company logo, details on your current financial process and a link to a reporting package. 

     

    Edit your Dashboard & Tiles

    Tiles can be reorganized to best highlight the data after they are added. To move the Tiles, hover over the upper right-hand corner of the Tile to active the context menu (...) and select Move.

     

    Share your Dashboard

    Dashboards can be shared to individual users or to groups of users. To share your Dashboard, simply select the Share button in the upper-right hand corner and select the user or group of users you'd like to share the Dashboard with. Optionally include a message. This action will send an email to the user(s) selected with a link to access the Dashboard. The user(s) will only be able to see what you have explicitly shared with them.
