    2. Set the Cash Account

Go to Settings ⚙️ > Company > Plans and select the main operating cash account for the client. Setting the Cash is a simple but important step to enable Cash forecasting abilities.

    3. Verify Close Month

Confirm the correct Close Month is set under Settings ⚙️ > Company > Accounting tab.  This ensures reports and dashboards display using the right financial period.  This can either be inherited automatically from the accounting system or manually set in Jirav.

    4. Import Workforce Actuals [Optional]

Optionally load staffing information for headcount reporting and headcount-related metrics.  From Settings ⚙️ > Integrations > Workforce, you can either upload data via Excel or connect directly to an HR/payroll platform.

    5. Map Departments [Optional]

Map departments if your client has departments in their accounting system that you want to reference within reports and dashboards.  Navigate to Settings ⚙️ > Departments.  Configure the departments under the MASTER column by selecting the Ellipsis to the right of MASTER to open the context menu, then choose one of the following:

    • Add Department: Manually add a Department to Jirav
    • Add from Accounting: Automatically generate new Departments based on what is in your Accounting System

Once the MASTER Departments are defined, map the values in the Unassigned row of the Accounting System & Workforce columns accordingly.  This is done by clicking in the row & column where you'd like to establish the mapping, selecting the applicable Department, and then Saving.  See our Help Center guide for more detailed instructions if needed.

    6. Review Dashboard

Check the Dashboard to confirm that data is flowing and values are now appearing.  Review key metrics like cash on hand, cash runway, and accounts receivable/payable balances.

    7. Review and Customize Reports

Go to Reports and upload your client’s logo to the Cover Page report.  Review the prebuilt package and adjust reports as needed for client-specific needs.

    8. Add Additional Users

Invite other team members who need access.  Go to Settings ⚙️ > Users, click Invite User, and assign the appropriate role.
