Workforce Staff Roster Deleting

Learn how to delete the previously imported Workforce Staff Roster in Jirav

While it is highly recommended to plan Staffing expenses and Headcount utilizing the available Workforce integrations or Excel Template, you may choose to opt out of this method and wish to delete the current Staffing list from your Jirav account. This decision may stem from the preference to leverage Auto-Forecast or Standard Drivers and Assumptions for modeling Salary expenses, which could be more aligned with your company's needs.

This article outlines the steps necessary to remove the existing Workforce import from your Jirav account:

  1. Workforce Staff Deleting for Excel Imports
  2. Workforce Staff Deleting for direct Workforce Integrations

Workforce Staff Deleting for Excel Imports

To delete your current Employee roster when it is brought into Jirav with the Excel Import Template follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to the Settings⚙️ icon > Actuals > Workforce Section > click on the Workforce Template to download the Excel file including the current Staff list.

  2. Open the downloaded Excel file and delete all the Employees to keep the blank list.

  3. Because technically Excel cannot be imported as a blank file, import a Staff Roster with 1 Employee with the Hire Date and the same Termination Date that are far out in the future (after the Forecast Period included within your Plans) like 01/01/2025 with a small Annual Wages like $0.01.
    See the example:

  4. Save the file and return to Jirav > select IMPORT and choose the appropriate file.

  5. The Excel file was not technically devoid of content; however, it contains no active Headcount or Salary expenses. Consequently, it does not affect your Actual or Forecasted Workforce.
