How to Switch from Google Sheet to Excel (and vice versa) for Custom Actuals

Best Practices for Switching Between Google Sheets and Excel for Custom Actuals imports.

To switch from Google Sheet Actuals to Excel Actuals, follow these steps:

1. Clear out data from currently connected Google Sheet

Open the connected Google Sheet, delete all numeric values(while maintaining headers, dates, and the first two columns - since those aren't values), and then re-import the Google Sheet. At the end of this step, there should be no actuals in the custom table anymore. See below.

2. Disconnect Jirav from your Google Sheet

Go to Settings ⚙️ > Actuals and select the three dots next to Google Sheets under the Custom section, click “Disconnect”.

It should now say “CREATE” next to Google Sheets instead of IMPORT.

3. Import the Data from the Excel file to Jirav

While still in Actuals, under the Custom section in Excel, Download the template, populate and save it. Then, select the IMPORT button to import the populated data.
