Customize Reporting Labels

Change the default account category labels

The Standard Accounting Categories will display in both the Report and Plan area for the Income Statement and Balance Sheet by default.

These Standard Accounting Categories represent the root accounts and margins for the financial statements and include Revenue, COGS, OpEx, Other Income & Expenses, Gross Margin, Operating Income, Net Income, Assets, Liabilities and Equity. 

It is possible to rename the Standard Accounting Categories. For example, you may wish to rename "Net Income" to "Net Income (Loss)" or "Gross Margin" to "Gross Profit".

To rename the Standard Account Categories, navigate to Settings ⚙️ > Company > Locate the Standard Account Categories and update the Labels as desired.
