Report Types

Overview of each type of Report available to include in Report Templates

There are a variety of Report Types available to create your Report Template. An overview of each type of Report is available below. 

Index Page

The Index Page automatically generates a summary of all reports within the template. Exporting the Index Page to PDF will also include page numbers. 

 

Cover Page

The cover page will automatically show the Company Name, Report Template Name and Prepared On as of the Date the template was created. Optionally modify the cover page by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of each field. 

 

 

Executive Summary

The Executive Summary is a 4-in-one report that highlights the key performance metrics for your business.  

  1. Income Statement Chart
    Automatically populates a graphical view of the Income Statement & Cash reflective of the plan & time periods included in the report. You can Show it or Hide it by clicking on the three dots next to the Report Title.
  2. Customizable Key Metrics
    Defaults to display the Cash Balance and Change in Cash. Select Edit Rows to customize which metrics appear. For example, a SaaS business may wish to highlight Customer Acquisition Cost & Lifetime Customer Value in this section. 
  3. Income Statement Summary
    Automatically generates an Income Statement Summary. Optionally select Edit Rows to modify the Income Statement Summary by adding or hiding details. 
  4. Headcount Overview 
    Automatically generates Headcount by Department at the bottom of the report. Optionally select Edit Rows to disable this. 

The Executive Summary defaults to show YTD Actuals for the current year by month. Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Column, Source(s) and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Income Statement

The Income Statement report defaults to show the Income Statement YTD Actuals for all Departments for the current year by month.

Select Edit Rows to optionally add or hide Income Statement details.

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Column, Department(s), Source(s) and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Income Statement by Department

The Income Statement report defaults to show the Income Statement for the current year Actuals by Department with the Departments as columns. 

Select Edit Rows to optionally add or hide Income Statement details.

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Department(s) included, add a column to Total the Departments,  Source(s) and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Balance Sheet

The Balance Sheet report defaults to show the Balance Sheet Actuals for the current year by month.

Select Edit Rows to optionally unhide zero rows. 

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Columns, Source(s), and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Cash Flow Statement

The Cash Flow Statement report defaults to show the Cash Flow Actuals for the current year by month.

Select Edit Rows to optionally unhide zero rows. 

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Columns, Source(s), and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

To adjust which accounts roll up to the Operating, Investing & Financing Cash Flow sections, go to Setup ⚙️ and select Cash Flow from the Setup dropdown (see more).

 

Workforce

The Workforce report shows Cumulative Headcount, New Headcount and Salary by Department. The report defaults to show this data for the current year's actuals by month.

Select Edit Rows to optionally unhide zero rows or hide the Cumulative Headcount, New Headcount, and Salary Run Rate sections.

Reports saved with a filter will not show the hidden rows when sharing, exporting, or publishing the report.

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Columns, Source(s), and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Staff List

The Staff List report shows the roster of employees from the staffing module for the current year's actuals. 

Select Edit Rows to optionally unhide zero rows or hide terminated employees, employee sources of actuals, planned hires, and driver-based hires.

Reports saved with a filter will not show the hidden rows when sharing, exporting, or publishing the report.

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period and Source.

Note, for users with the Viewer: Dashboard & Reports Limited Role, the Salary column will be suppressed from their view. 

 

Custom

The Custom report defaults to show the Cash Balance and Change in Cash for current year YTD Actuals by month. 

Select Edit Rows to customize which metrics appear. These metrics can be anything within your Jirav model, i.e., financial, staffing or custom.

Custom Reports can include any type of data that is maintained in Jirav (P&L, Balance Sheet, KPI Library data, Salaries, Custom Tables, Margins, etc.).

Additionally, there is a possibility to adjust Depth per Line and show Subtotal Only, Children up to 1st level, 2nd level, etc.

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Column, Department(s), Source(s) and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Dashboard

Any Dashboard defined in the Dashboards area can be displayed within a Report Template. To edit the data in the Dashboard, navigate to the Dashboards area. 

 

Goals

The Goals report shows the accounts available to set Goals against by month for current year Actuals.

Select Edit Rows to optionally unhide zero rows. 

Select Edit Columns to adjust the Report Period, Report Columns, Source(s), and optionally include a Variance Analysis. 

 

Text

The Text report is a freeform text page. You can use this Report type to add commentary to your report template each month or include screenshots.
